Gen: Philadelphia questions

I am planning to travel to Philadelphia the weekend of Jan. 30.  If
anyone could give me information about the area around 100 Penn Square I
would appreciate it.  Also, I would like to know about public
transpiration, what the weather will be like, reasonable hotel/motels in
safe areas, and with two days to sight see what would you say are the
sights you shouldn't miss.  TIA
