Help! A 9th grade English teacher planning a literature unit focusing on
sporting competition building strength of character and psychological
stamina plans to begin by reading the novel The Contender by Lipsyte and
has asked me for recommendations of short stories and essays to continue
the theme. My copy of Athletic Shorts by Crutcher is out and I've been
unable to come up with anything else. Any suggestions??Since she wants
