Software ? - bilbiography producing

Friends, Hello from sunny upstate (also warm ) New York,

A colleague is looking for software she has been told exists called
EndNotes which creates a database from bibliographic information and then
will format a bilbiography according to whatever set of rules such as MLA,
APA, etc. that you need for your information.  She believes there is a
nother brand name also , but does not know it.  She assures me she has
looked in catalogues and called stores, so please if you know where we can
purchase this software, please email me directly.  THanks so much.
