HUMOR(?): Psalm 23 for students

It may be for students, but it sure reminds me of me...Woe is me!!

Could also be for grad students or those going for a doctorate!

THE THESIS

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not flunk
He keepeth me from lying down when I should be studying
He leadeth me beside the water cooler for a study break
He restores my faith in study guides
He leads me to better study habits
For my grades' sake

Yea,though I walk through the valley of borderline grades
I will not have a nervous breakdown
For thou art with me
My prayers and my friends, they comfort me
Thou givest me the answer in moments of blankness
Thou anointest my head with understanding
My test paper runneth over with question I recognize

Surely passing grades and flying colors shall follow me
All the days of my examinations
And I shall not have to dwell in this stupid school forever.


THE ANTHTHESIS

The clock is my dictator, I shall not rest
It makes me lie down only when exhausted
It leads me to deep depression
It hounds my soul
It leads me into circles of frenzy for activities sake

Even though I run frantically from task to task
I will never get it all done
For my ideal is with me
Deadlines and my needs for approval, they drive me
THey demand performances from me
Beyond the limits of my schedule

They anoint my head with migraines
My in-basket overflows

Surely fatigue and time pressures shall follow me
All the days of my life
And I will dwell in the bonds of frustration forever
