Hi fellow LM-Netters: Two 7th grade teachers are using the theme of tolerance/intolerance as a year long theme. One of them asked me if I could recommend a book about a woman or girl overcoming intolerance. She would like to read an excerpt in her class. It can be fiction or nonfiction, but hopefully something the students can really relate to. I drew a blank except for Spinelli's "There's a Girl in My Hammerlock". Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance. -- Eileen Cunningham, Librarian Paxon Hollow Middle School Broomall, PA emc7@erols.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
