Have to second this and add that it won me over despite being predisposed to
dislike the book, and an annoying
"fundamentalist-preacher-sees-bare-breasts-and-wigs-out" cliche early on.
Kingsolver makes great use of mulitple narrators and maintaining distinct
characters with each of them. It also provides a great tie to the current
non-fiction book about King Leopold's involvement in the then Congo.
