I have been asked to look over the collection for a private (Catholic) school collection that is run by a volunteer. Because I have always been a public school librarian, I would like your input for what to look for in this library. If you are in a private school library would you mind answering the following questions? 1. How many books per pupil do you have? 2. What is a reasonable budget to ask for? 3. When selecting books, I assume the volunteer should be more conservative about controversial topics than I am in a public school. Is this a correct assumption? Any other comments would be helpful too. Thanks a bunch.
