GEN:Looking for book about kitten

I was recently at a holiday party when a coworker of my husband came up
and asked me if I knew about a book titled Babbett (I think that is the
spelling).  She said it was about a kitten and she would really like to
find a copy of it.  It probably was printed at least 20 years ago.  She
doesn't know the author and I can't find anything at Amazon.  I know
everyone is busy at this time of year, but if you can offer me any help,
I appreciate it.
