HI Marci: The book that I would like to recommend to you is titled In
Daddy's Arms I AM TALL:  African Americans Celebrating Fathers
illustrated by Javaka Steptoe. It is published by Lee & Low Books Inc.

We met the illustrator at a NYC School Librarian Meeting.  It is a
remarkable book.  I hope that you get a chance to check it out.  There
are many short poems that talk about fathers.
