Dear colleagues, This is my first attempt to post a message, I know it is the week-end, and I am acting on an idea I just got to request information I could pass on at a class tomorrow night. Even if replies are few in that short time, I will have gained the experience of trying! I have just finished reading Rolling The Elephant Over, which describes one school district's experiences in changing to elementary report cards based on rubrics. I wonder if any of you have experience with this grading system. If so, what do you view as advantages? Drawbacks? What advice would you offer to schools and/or districts considering adopting this method of evaluation for elementary grades? Thanks and enjoy the rest of your week-end!
