Elem: Need Book Titles

Dear LM_NETTERS,     I have had requests from a parent and from a reading
specialist for the identification of the following books.

One is about a boy and his father who build a train set.  I believe the boy
shrinks down at night and helps a little pipe cleaner man who is part of
the train set.  He solves various problems for the pipe cleaner man and
this teaches the reader different scientific facts such as adding soap to
water produces surface tension....The parent has been trying to fine this
book for years.

The second book is about a group of animals who are trying to get rid of a
lion.  Each animal does "what he does best".  Apparently this is the
recurring theme throughout the book--that is doing what he does best.

If anyone can help both the seekers and I will be most appreciative.
