Hello Ralph and All,
My name is Mel Pace and I am new to lm_net. I am an elem. media spec. in
Tampa, FL and I also work part time at Best Buy in the computer dept. I sell
lats of 1200 IIIEP scanners, but I own the newest Hewlett Packard 5100
scanner. We just purchased it because the reviews on the HP 5P series touted
them as the easisest to set up and use. For once, the reviewers were right.
Within 3 minutes of unboxing the scanner, we had scanned and printed our first
picture.

The 1200 series is supposed to be a really great scanner; however, I have had
customers tell me that it is a little hard to follow the directions and get it
set up. This is true of a lot of scanners since directions are either
extremely sketchy or totally lacking.

Have you called the company for tech support? They are usually pretty good,
if you can get through.

Good luck,
Mel Pace, Media Specialist
Roosevelt Elem.
Tampa, FL
