AOL Grant Opportunity

America Online, Inc. is launching an Interactive Education Grants Program
under the newly created AOL Foundation.  Open to K-12 teachers, education
leaders, parents and other community leaders, the grants will be awarded to
those who develop innovative and creative ways to apply the online medium
in ways that enhance student learning.  A special emphasis will be placed
on proposals that reach socio-economically disadvantaged children and
communities.

The grants program is AOL Foundation's first step in an ongoing effort that
fosters community, enhances teaching and learning and helps improve
people's lives across the economic spectrum.  In addition to the grants,
AOL plans to provide in-kind assistance and online support for selected
Interactive Education Grant recipients.
