TECH: MAC: Font removal

=46riendly MAC users-
How can I remove Times New Roman from my powerbook 540? I have tried any
number if times and each time it says "cannot complete this action, error-39=
".
I have tried removing the font from the font folder with all applications of=
f;
I've tried a remedy suggesting that I open a SimpleText file and attempt to
save it into the font folder in the System =9F
-no luck.  Norton Utilities says "it is a major problem,"
 but offers no suggestion as to how to remove it.

All suggestions are welcome.
