K-12: Flexible Scheduling

I currently serve as media specialist in a K-12 district of approximately
600 students.  I have a K-8 and a 9-12 media center.  In April we will have
a bond issue on the ballot to build a new K-12 media center.  I would like
to implement flexible scheduling after the new media center is built.  I
currently serve as release time for teachers of grades K-5.  I feel that my
time could be better utilized as well as the facilities of the new media
center if we had a flexible schedule.  Anyone that has any positive or
negative thoughts about flexible scheduling, please contact me.  I would
like to speak with my superintendent on this issue, but feel that I need to
be more informed of the issue before I proceed.
