REF: This is a tough one--educational history

We have a teacher who, in a college class, has been given the assignment to
learn about the history of education in the U.S. using ONLY Internet
information. We have both searched to no avail. Any combination of
education and history (educational history, education, history of, U.S.
History and education, etc.) all retrieve mostly info regarding where one
can get a history degree or info on the teaching of history.

If you know ANY websites regarding schools or the history of education
itself in the United States, please help us out. This teacher will be very
appreciative.
