Fellow LM_NETTers, Out of the clear blue sky, I have been questioned by an administrator about the need for videos in an elementary library. I have AV money in my budget, and I had placed an order for approximately $1,000 worth of educational videos. I have been the librarian here for 8 years, and I have purchased videos each year. I always select and purchase materials which will support our curriculum. The administrator is against the purchase of any additional videos, and I need your help. Do you regularly purchase videos for your elementary library? Does anyone have any statistics related to the use of videos to support the curriculum? Thanks for your help.
