Author request

Hi - I have a student that wants to read the story that the recent TV special
The Love Letter (Hallmark Hall of Fame?) was based upon.  Did anyone see the
special and/or know the author?  The story is about a man who finds an old
love letter in a dresser drawer and responds to the letter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
