A few people asked for a hit on any web sites on the history and description of musical instruments. Thanks to those who responded. Three sites that provide some basic information on the four types of instruments are: www.gspyo.com/education/index.html tqd.advanced.org/3656/html/2how.htm library.advanced.org/11315 Excellent site on Medieval and Renaissance instruments: www.s-hamilton.k12.ia.us/antiqua/instrumt.html Another Medieval/Renaissance site (including, but not limited to music): www.execpc.com/~clisto/clisto.html Other music sites suggested (these did not have the information I needed but have lots of information and many links to sift through): www.rockhall.com (Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame) www.hob.com (House of Blues) www.ubl.com (Ultimate Band List) toltec.lib.edu/~music/www.html (MusicLink:Music on the Internet) Also recommended was Microsoft's CD-ROM Musical Instruments Debbie White, Librarian Waterville (NY) Central School dwhite@waterville-hi.moric.org =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= To quit LM_NET (or set NOMAIL or DIGEST), Send an email message to listserv@listserv.syr.edu In the message write EITHER 1) SIGNOFF LM_NET 2) SET LM_NET NOMAIL or 3) SET LM_NET DIGEST NOTE: Please allow time for confirmation from Listserv.
