Thanks to all who helped me with this problem. For those who also
needed the information, here it is:

I just switched, also, and created my file as follows: Make a file (in
your word processor) with your sig file. Then, click on Edit, Prefs,
Mail and Groups, and Identity. At the bottom of the window, click on
Choose, and then select the file where your sig file is. Click on Open,

which will put the directory info for the file in the box next to
Choose,
and then click OK to save. The next time you open Netscape
Communicator,
your sig file should automatically go on all of your mail. Oh, if you
click on the option to send your address card, an address card
attachment
will always be sent with your messages.

Another neat thing: to make your email address into an actual link,
select it, click on "Insert", and then "Link". The url will show up
under "Link Source". Underneath it, in the space labelled "Link to",
just re-type your whole email address. When you get back to your
message, the url will be blue and underlined!

You have to go to a regular word processing document. Type up your
signature file and save it as a text file to your netscape folder. Then

go to the mail preferences and click on the browse button next to the
sig
file box. You should beable then to pick where you want to browse and
will find your file in your netscape folder. Select the sig file and
then click in the box to select it. Should be relatively easy once you
get there. Go to send a message and it should appear at the bottom of
the screen. Good luck.

type your signature file using wordpad or another wordprocessor and save
it as a text (asci) file. then go to communicator and click
edit/preferences/mail&groups/identity and fill in the
blank giving the path to the sig file.

Open wordpad or any text editor. Create your signiture file.
Save
it as text. Then, go into communitor. Choose edit-preferences-mail

groups-identity. Then, toward the bottom, there is a box that lets you
choose the file for the signiture file. Choose the file you created
above.
        Good luck!
