ISTSERV.SYR.EDU Tue Feb 24 10:00:44 1998 DHow does one delete bookmarks from Netscape (on a MAC) ? While in Netscape, press command (apple key) and "b". This will cause the bookmarks you've saved to be displayed. Then you can highlight any bookmark you no longer need and press delete. Bye, bye for that bookmark. This is also a great time to set up some folders so you can keep the bookmarks if you'd really like to, and organize then into groups. While you have your bookmarks displayed from pressing command "b", you can go up to "ITEM" and drag down to "Insert Folder". This will cause a window to display which allows you to set the name and definintion of the folder contents. Just do so then click "OK". You can then drag your bookmarks into the folders based on whatever organization method you chose. One thing that you do need to consider is if you're on a machine that has just enough RAM (as a general rule 12-16 megs, especially if you're running a new version of Netscape and another application)for you to log on to the Internet, don't get to bookmark crazy. They all take a bit of memory. From: John the Mac addict :) May the power of the Mac live on and prosper! The teachers would also like to be able to communicate with each other through the network. We are running Novell 3.12 and have IBM-type computers with Windows for Workgroups and Windows 95. If you know of a good package, please let me know how to contact the company. Contact me directly, and many thanks in advance! I have been a member of LM_NET for only a short time, but have already gotten many great tips. This is a wonderful service.
