I was talking to MassEd.Net tech support yesterday. Among other things, I asked if there was any chance that they would be able to subscribe to LM_NET the way UMassK12 has, so that we can read the messages in one place instead of having to get all of them in our mail boxes every day. At first the tech guy was confused. He didn't know the difference between a listserv and a newsgroup. When I explained (as best I could) he said it sounded like it was pretty useful and he gave me the impression that if enough of us asked for it, JavaNet (who supplies MassEd.Net) might decide to do it. So if you'd like to be able to read LM_NET without getting it all in your mailbox everyday, and you have (or are planning to get) MassEd.Net, then write to support@massed.net and tell them. -- Johanna Halbeisen Woodland Elementary School(K-4) Southwick, Mass jhalbei@k12.oit.umass.edu =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= To quit LM_NET (or set NOMAIL or DIGEST), Send an email message to listserv@listserv.syr.edu In the message write EITHER 1) SIGNOFF LM_NET 2) SET LM_NET NOMAIL or 3) SET LM_NET DIGEST NOTE: Please allow time for confirmation from Listserv.
