Source of traditional rhyme

Yipes!  Once again I need your help.  Anyone know where the following
rhyme came from?

12345 once I caught a fish alive
678910 then I threw him back again
Why did I let it go
Because it bit my finger so.

That may not be exacly it.  If you know what it really says, and
especially if you know its origin, please let me know!  We've checked the
poetry indexes.
