5 people said, they hadn't yet received their first issue, & would wait
to make a judgement.
4 will keep it (1 commented she will check each issue as it comes in)..
these are usually people in a K-8 situation. Several of the people
keeping the subscription are disappointed, though.


A comment from the midwest...
"Most of my elementary librarians are cancelling their
subscriptions to the NASCAR for Teens, is does not seem appropriate for
the
younger grades.  We have 16 school libraries who were receiving the Racing
for Kids, all but two are cancelling..."


 Consensus (based on comments) seems to be those with upper elementary/jr
high grades are keeping it, but most are going to watch the magazine to
be on the look out for questionable advertisisng, inappropriate articles,
etc. Most librarians with a younger student body, (i.e., K-5, or K-4) are
cancelling.

Thanks to all those who replied. I haven't yet received that all
important first issue, so will wait. (Our magazine orders are due
mid-February , so it had better get here quickly)
