Target: Role of Library Media Specialist

In order to better do my job as a middle school librarian, in which I
really do aspire to library Media Specialistness by nature, I am taking a
course in which the first assignment is a review of some published view
of the role of the library media specialist.  For purely logistical
reasons I would prefer to find such a published view online.  Do any of
you out there know of such a document available by http?  I will post a
hit list this time absolutely come solar storm or come shine.  I need it
by Wednesday.
