Thank you very much and merci beaucoup to all who helped with my request
for Today's news in French.  I received over fifteen replies, I have *not*
checked them all out, but wanted to post a hit asap.  Also, I don't speak
French.  So Linda Greenwood, Sr. Eileen,  and Nancy Bross, here is that
hit...

Target: Today's news in French

Use http://www.ipl.org/reading/news/ and find France on that page (listed
with the rest of the countries in Europe).  Click on France ... and that
will bring up a list of papers.

Try tilenet.  Sorry I don't have the URL.  I think it's just
www.tilenet.com.  Or it might be tile_net.com.  Tilenet has a list of
searchable listservs/news groups with info. on how to subscribe.

Radio France
Internationale (RFI). Ce message n'est pas accentue. Frognet  re-

sous deux formes : accentuee ou non. L'Ambassade de France  n'est
ni proprietaire, ni responsable du contenu de cette liste.

Pour vous y abonner vous avez le choix entre une procedure simple
via le site Web de la Mission scientifique  et  technologique  de
l'Ambassade,  et  l'envoi  d'un  courrier  au  gestionnaire de la
liste.

Abonnement  a  Frognet  via  le  Web  :  connectez-vous  au  site
http://www.france-science.org/frognet Choisissez la version (avec
ou sans accent) a laquelle vous desirez vous abonner  et  valider
votre  demande  en  cliquant  une fois sur le bouton "Soumettre".
Vous recevrez les deux courriers quotidiens  de  Frognet  des  le
lendemain.

Abonnement  par  le  courrier  electronique : envoyez un courrier
sans sujet a listproc@list.cren.net dont le corps du message soit

- pour la version AVEC  accents  :  SUBSCRIBE  frognet nom prenom
organisme/societe
- pour la version SANS accents : SUBSCRIBE frognet- nom prenom  or-
ganisme/societe
Vous  recevrez les deux courriers quotidiens de Frognet des le len-

Go to www.city.net and do a search for Paris.  You should find a list of
French Language newspapers under Magazines & Newspapers.

You may consider using AltaVista's translation service at:
http://babelfish.altavista.digital.com/
Type in a web site, such as www.cnn.com, and the entire page will be translated
from English to French, German, Italian, Portugese or Spanish. It'll also
translate sites in those languages to English.
