Many thanks to those who responded to my questions regarding Biographies. Here are the suggestions thus far: Series/Publishers: *Rookie Readers *A Picture Book About ... by Adler. LANDMARK company. (They are out of print.) *Chelsea House biographies Carolrhoda (Lerner*) Franklin Watts, Grolier Co. Biography Today published by Omnigraphics * More than one recommendation Who: Princess Diana, Mother Teresa, Selena, Mariah Carey Michael Jordan, other sports figures Biographies about females, or hispanics, blacks, multicultural, etc.(to reflect student population and/or to enhance multiculturalism) A few suggested buying some paperbacks for those current biographies whose popularity might wear out as quickly as the paperback does. I would also like to add some from my own list: Robin Montanta Turner - several on women artists Freedman's photo-biographies Kathleen Krull (Wilma Unlimited, Lives of...)
