Dear LM_NET Colleagues,

When you want people to chat with you, we suggest that you also include at
least a little pointer about how they might be able to do so. Maybe a
mention that there is a link from the LM_NET Web site to LM_Chat
information. The URL LM_NET Web site is included with all LM_NET messages,
at the bottom.

In order to participate, you will need to download IRC Chat software. This
is explained in detail at: http://chat.syr.edu/vcc/members/lm/
  Login as a registered user,
    with the userid: lm
    the password is: live

This will take you to the LM_Live page. Just follow the instructions
given there to download and configure the software. (In the event that you
are unable to download the software from there, look for the chat clients
at http://shareware.com)

The IRC LM_Live! site (your chat entry point) is at:
chat.syr.edu
port 6667

Once there, you will then need to go into the channel: LM_Chat, using the
command:
   /join #lm_chat
