Dear Colleagues, I am considering changing a couple of my electronic databases from CD-ROM to access through the Web (namely SIRS Researcher and Discoverer and H.W. Wilson Current Biographies). I mentioned this to my Tech Director and he questioned the speed of accessing the two types. He feels that, despite the convenience of the WEB, the CD's may work faster. Has anyone had any experience with this? Also, has anyone tried the new Wilson Biographies either on CD or the Web that combines 100 of those print Wilson ref. bio's into one source? I have been using Current Biographies 1940-to date on CD, but this new one sounds great. Thanks for all your help. It is so nice to be able to consult with others before ordering! (Please respond directly to me.)
