There's an owl in the shower
by Jean Craighead George
This is a cute story which takes place out west in the
middle of the Spotted Owl controversy. The son of a logger who was
put out of work finds a baby owl thinking it was a different breed
than a spotted owl. The family nurses the owlet and learns to love
it but eventually have to let it go. While this is obviously an
"environmental story", the message does not overpower the story such
as in this author's "Who really killed Cock Robin." I acquired this
134 page book at our book fair.
