Thank you to everyone who replied to request. Several people requested a HIT. The general consensus was that I _should_ give the kids some notice to give them time to accept the fact that I'm leaving. I've already told grades 3, 1 and part of 2. So far the kids are taking it far better than I am! The reason I gave for leaving was that I am far away from my family (true). A group of first graders offered to be my family, which was very sweet, and the kids seemed concerned about who they'll have next year (I don't know yet) but otherwise I am glad I told them. By Wed. I'll have told all my classes, which still gives them 2 weeks before school's out. Thanks again for the comments I received.
