             All of this author's books (that I have read) are all
tearjerkers.  Someone has some illness and you wait for them to die
while your emotions are toyed with.  I have several girls who love
these books - myself I don't care for them.
         In this one April goes into the hospital with headaches and
meets a boy with cystic fibrosis.  She has a brain tumor and he is
fragile.  They fall in love, plan to get married and he ends up in
the hospital from an auto racing accident where they get married just
as he dies.
        This book is 214 pages but is a quick read so is appropriate for 6th
grade and up
