There is a way to stop telephone solicitations, at least if your state has implemented a law to that effect. In Georgia, if you tell the person calling that you do not take sales calls and you want your name removed from their list, it becomes illegal for them to call you again. The remedies are to write down who has called and if they call back, report them to your state attorney general's office. I know it has worked for me at home - I have had only ONE callback and it was from MCI. As soon as I told them that I had already asked to be removed from their list and if they called again I would report them, the woman apologized and I have not received another call. Hope this helps! -- Susan Grigsby, LMS The Epstein School Atlanta, GA sgrigsby@atlchai.org Those who don't understand aren't committed ...those who do should be! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= To quit LM_NET (or set NOMAIL or DIGEST), Send an email message to listserv@listserv.syr.edu In the message write EITHER: 1) SIGNOFF LM_NET 2) SET LM_NET NOMAIL or 3) SET LM_NET DIGEST * NOTE: Please allow time for confirmation from Listserv.
