Do you have any books (motivational/attitude/ or academic) that you would recommend for a professional reading list? Please help. I labored long and lovingly over grade 1 to 6 lists and I have nothing left. My lists will be posted on our school web page in about a week so I'll let you know when they are on -- do most librarians create the school wide reading list? If you are still creating yours, consider adding these for 5/6 level. New one by Cynthia Voigt called _Bad Girls_ a great read and lessons on several levels. I love the way she writes about strong women/girls with attitude. The other I loved was Katherine Paterson's _Jip:His Story_ which starts out in a poor house and ends up on the Underground Railroad. Main protagonist a remarkable boy that you immediately want to win/succeed/conquer all odds. Thanks for help.
