Accelerated Schools and the role of the Media Specialist

I am currently enrolled as a graduate student in Information Media.  I will
receive my provisional license by the end of this summer's sessions.  I
worked as a media specialist in a middle school which is considering
converting to an Accelerated School.  I am working on a project for one of
my classes about Accelerated Schools and want to include information about
the role of the Media Specialist in such a setting.  I have been able to
locate information about Accelerated Schools, but am unable to find
anything about the role of the Media Specialist.  Does anyone know where I
might find any information on this subject?  Your help is greatly appreciated.
