Subject: TARGET-> SECONDARY TEACHERS AND LMS WORKING TOGETHER

Dear LM_NETTERS,

On March 12 I am conducting a workshop under the auspices of our district
teacher mentoring program, a workshop on how high school classroom teachers
and school LMS may more effectively work together. We shall briefly touch on
instructional design, but as this is a two hour workshop we must be as
practical and concise as possible. As a former classroom teacher I think that
I am able to see both sides to a certain extent, but I do believe that media
education programs address the issues of our working together to a far greater
extent than do teacher education programs--at least the ones in which I have
been a participant. This workshop grew out of my belief that there was a need
to inform teachers, and I am hoping to eventually develop a class that
addresses this.

For now, however, I am asking that you share any suggestions that you may have
as to how you think teachers and LMS may work together. These ideas may be as
basic, or as sophisticated, in design as you wish to meke them. I am grateful
for whatever suggestions you may share.

Many thanks! LM_NET is great!

Subject: OPAC

I am a student at Indiana University and working on a project that
compares/contrasts OPACs in schools. I am looking for elementary OPACs.
I have found only one, Squires Elementary. Does anyone know of some
others? Please help. I am getting desperate. Thanks.
