        Can't remember if this issue was resolved, but someone was trying to
find out the name of the genre of a what-if historical event, such as Japan
winning WWII.  It is called "counterfactuals."
        In the 10th anniversary issue of "MHQ: The Quarterly Journal of
Military History," 36 historians each wrote about historical events and how
things would be different today if the outcome of the event had changed.
Interesting reading for those interested in the subject.
