Here is the information I got about Dr. Seuss and P.D. Eastman: >Philip Dey Eastman [1909-1986] is profiled in Something About the Author Volume 33 and the obituary in volume 46. He worked for Warner Brothers Cartoons and Disney Studios prior to WWII. He was one of the creators of General McBoing Boing film - "the first non-Disney animated movie to win an Academy Award." [vol. 46, p. 74.] He did work with Dr. Seuss on the "Cat in the Hat" Dictionary according to the information in Vol. 33. Some wrote and said that they thought Dr. Seuss and P. D. Eastman were the same person, but they had no source to back it up. Also, according to Seuss biographies on the internet, he worked on the same film-General McBoing Boing [see above], though one biographer gives him credit for creating it and the other specifically states that while Giesel did not create it, he was a contributor. Many sent the known pen names of Theodore Giesel, Dr. Seuss and Theo LeSeig. All in all, I've learned plenty and I am sure my class will be delighted to know it. Thank you for your time, everyone.
