Greetings from not-so-sunny Arizona (at least this winter.) Currently, I'm working on a graduate degree and the following situation came up between a colleague and I. While doing research for a distance ed course, we used the online version of ebsco that our university library subscribes to. So far, so good. We found good articles for our project but reached a stumbling block when trying to cite direct quotes from the full text version of the articles. While in the citation, the beginning and total number of pages is given, there are no specific page numbers attached to the full text article. Also, we printed the full text version to use as a reference in our writing. APA says you have to have a page number in the in-text citation for direct quotes. How is this handled when we aren't using the actual journal article, rather, its on-line cousin? Any ideas? *********************************** * Sara Wolf saraw@asu.edu * * Graduate Teaching Assistant * * Ed.
