Last year there was a message on this listserv in regards to Librarians time and clerical help in relation to the number of staff members at a school. I believe it was from Australia. I know at my school with a staff of 17 there would have been one full-time librarian with 35 (?) hours of clerical help a week. I have searched through the archives with no luck. I printed it at the time but cannot locate it now that I need it. Here in Ontario Canada, teacher/librarians are fighting to keep their jobs and keep the libraries in schools open. I mentioned this message in discussion with a superintendent, and she would like a copy or any other information in regards to this issue. If your school has any kind of policy on how schools are staffed with regards to librarians and clerical help, please send me an e-mail. I would really appreciate it. If any interest is shown, I will post a hit of the results. Thanks for your time.
