Since most of the professional organizations are dropping quantative
standards for school libraries (ALA/AECT, North Central and the State Dept
of Ed in Ohio) the professional organization in Ohio for School Media
Specialists has undertaken this as a project.

We are currently working to put together guidelines for school library
programs for the state of ohio. Are there professional organizations in
other states that have done something similiar? If so, we should share
our work.
