Query 2 - For those of you who have children's books in your collection... I am attempting to put together a "Children's Corner" so that the child development pre-school children can come visit the library, maybe have a story read to them, possible do a craft related to the story...and I've collected a few books. I had intended to catalog them simply as JUV/XXX (XXX being the 3 letters of the author's last name)...a friend told me that JUV stands for elem. books and that a better way would be CC (children's collection)/DD#/XXX. #1 I really didn't want to start a parallel collection, as I just want these to be "story" books. #2 I don't want them to end up in the regular collection...my shelvers are students and not always as careful as I'd like. Any suggestions? How do you classify childrens books in a HS collection?
