I have to agree with Ken. I am secure enough in my femininity and my membership in the human race to realize that "man" etc. includes me. I realize not everyone agrees with me, and that is fine; we are all entitled to our opinions, thank goodness. I guess part of my acceptance has to do with the aggravation of using and seeing "his/her" or "their" used instead of the simple "his" when gender is either not known or inclusive. As an old English teacher, I find all alternatives undesirable. (Stuck in my ways at 30!) Just MHO. I don't want to ruffle any feathers, but I think Ken may be blasted for his post, and I wanted him and others to know that some *females* share his opinion.
