Hello everyone. I just bought a UMAX Astro 610S and loaded everything I was supposed to and I can't get it to work. The issue is the SCSI ID number. On the back of the scanner it has a "dial" with numbers and the manual (yes, I actually read it!!), says to "gently turn the switch until an unused number appears in the switch's notch." Only problem is, I can't turn the bloody thing. I know you are not supposed to use a nail file, screwdriver or pen so I give up!! What am I missing? Thanks for your technical expertise.
