HIT: Tech Mac

Thank you to all who helped solve my problem. After installing a new
version of Grolier's, each time I started my Mac a message told me that
QuickTime installation had failed because it was already installed.  To
remove that message, drag to the Trash the older version of QuickTime which
is in the Extensions folder inside the System Folder.
