Thanks so much to all of you (five replies w/i an hour!) for
the definition of "thigmotaxic": "the movement of an
organism in response to contact with a solid body"; "the
movement of an organism toward or away from an object that
provides a mechanical stimulus"; "involuntary reaction to
simple contact with some outside object or body, as in
motile cells"...
