Hello again to all! Thank you so much to all who have responded to my query about YA Industrial Revolution novels. I have received some great responses and will post a HIT within the next couple of days. I now have another question. Did anyone out there watch the closing ceremonies of the Olympics a couple of weeks ago? I have a student who wishes to do some research on the man that they did a feature story on during the closing ceremonies. This is the athlete from an Olympic games in the 1930's(?) whose plane was shot down and he and two others had to survive at sea. When he finally reached land, he was taken prisoner by the Japanese during WWII. Does anyone remember this man's name? I have done some searching, but I have been unable so far to find his name, and I can't remember it even though I saw the segment during the Olympics. I thought that someone out there might be able to remember! Thanks for your help! Julie Purdy Mt.
