REF: Wait until alice (helen?) comes

One of my teachers needs more information about the book (maybe a story)
Wait until helen comes (helen may be alice). It's probably an elementary
or young adult book. His daughter mmentioned she was upset by it and he
wants to get some more information so he can figure out why it bothered
her.  Can any of y'all help us out?
