I have been asked by our tech. coordinator to speak to teachers about the use of email through the school touching on the following points: 1. school email is for work related issues 2. school email is not private I would like to point out examples of proper uses of school email, improper uses of school email, and those that run the line between the two. Obviously there have been some crossing of the lines here at our school as more and more teachers acquire email at school. I believe people bring privacy assumptions from Postal Mail to email and I would like to point out why and how email is not private in the way Postal Mail is private. Any articles, web sites, training, policies or war stories would be appreciated. thanks I will post a hit if I get lots of good info -- Be very, very careful what you put into that head, because you will never, ever get it out.
