Hello All,

There is a proposal in the town I am student teaching in to build an
addition on to the high school to house both the public and high school
library. While the high school library would be kept on a separate floor
there would be ready access to materials in the public library. The
originator of the proposal hopes that a center could be developed where
both the public library and school could share some of the technology being
invested in rather than duplicating efforts and greater access to school
technology could be provided to the general public.Does anyone have
experience in working in this type of arrangement or serving on a committee
that examined it and is aware of all the issues involved. The librarian I
work with is on the committee for examinig this proposal for the town and
would really appreciate any input. Please send responses to Kate at
 g-baker7@www.worldnet.att.net THANK YOU!
